# Add members to an org unit

`POST /v2/org-units/{orgUnitId}/members`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.zenzap.co`

  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `X-Signature`

Add one or more members to an org unit.

**Validation:**
- All members must exist and be in your organization (returns 400 "Invalid member" otherwise)
- Maximum 5 members per request; duplicates are removed

**Behavior:** Idempotent — members already in the unit are ignored.

**Rate limit:** 1 request per minute per bot, shared with the remove-members endpoint
(returns 429 if exceeded).

**Org-unit restriction:** If your organization restricts communication to within org units,
your bot must be a member of the org unit; otherwise a 404 is returned. A bot that does not
belong to any org unit cannot access any of them (every org unit returns 404).

- OrgUnitMemberAddRequest
  - `memberIds` string[], required: Member IDs to add (max 5). Must be in your organization. Duplicates are removed.

## Response `200`

Members added successfully

- OrgUnitMemberUpdateResponse
  - `id` string, uuid: The org unit ID
  - `memberIds` string[]: Updated member profile IDs in the org unit (bot members use the `b@<uuid>` form)

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - invalid input
- `401`: Unauthorized - invalid or missing API token
- `404`: Resource not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded (1 request per minute per bot, shared with remove members)
- `500`: Internal server error
