# PUT /podcast-bot/podcasts/{podcastKey}/episodes/{episodeKey}/upload

`PUT /podcast-bot/podcasts/{podcastKey}/episodes/{episodeKey}/upload`

Ingest an uploaded audio file as the episode with this key: copy it into the podcast's storage and run the post-recording jobs

## Path parameters

- `podcastKey` string, required
- `episodeKey` string, required

## Request body

- PBEpisodeUpload — Uploaded episode file to ingest
  - `fileUrl` string, required — Publicly readable URL of the uploaded audio file. Fetched once, then not used again.
  - `title` string — Episode title. The file name is used when omitted.
  - `description` string
  - `author` string
  - `originalFilename` string — File name as uploaded, kept alongside the stored file.
  - `duration` integer — Audio length in seconds. Optional: worked out from the file once it is uploaded when omitted.
  - `fileSize` integer — File size in bytes. Optional: measured from the uploaded file when omitted.
  - `publishDate` string, date-time — Publish date. Now when omitted.
  - `explicit` boolean

## Response `202`

Upload accepted; the file is fetched and processed afterwards

- PBEpisodeUploadResult — Result of accepting an uploaded episode file
  - `episodeKey` string — The episode key, whether supplied by the caller or generated.
  - `status` string — Episode status at the time of the response: PROCESSING while the file is being fetched.
  - `alreadyExisted` boolean — True when this key already existed and nothing new was started.
