# Extract Bank Account

`POST /onboarding/extract-bank-account`

Extract the IBAN(s) from an uploaded bank statement via doculyse (eligible).

Stateless and DB-free: reads the upload and runs doculyse pinned to the
bank-statement extractor, returning the IBAN(s) + currency/holder for the wizard to
pre-fill (and feed to ``propose-bank-mapping``). An unrecognized document returns an
empty ``accounts`` list with a ``warning`` (the user can still type the IBAN). **413**
when the file exceeds the upload cap or the analyzer's own (lower) one; **503** when
doculyse is unreachable. Rate-limited per user (LLM call).

Successful Response

- ExtractBankAccountResponse: ``POST /onboarding/extract-bank-account`` → the IBAN(s) found in the statement. ``accounts`` may be empty (with an explanatory ``warning``) when the document is not a bank statement or carries no IBAN — the wizard then falls back to manual entry. ``accounts_without_iban`` (ZET-412) lists the statement's accounts that carry only an account number, so the wizard can prefill a row for the IBAN to be typed into.
