# Create Storage Ingest Source

Add a cloud-drive ingest source — a drive scan — over a linked storage connection
(accountant/owner).

``base_folder_ref`` is required (the folder picker commits it) — scanning is
always bounded to the selected base folder. No secret: credentials live on the
referenced connection.

- StorageIngestSourceCreate: ``POST /companies/<id>/storage-ingest-sources`` body (admin). ``base_folder_ref`` is REQUIRED — the folder picker commits it; a source can never be created unscoped (the whole point of the base folder is bounding the scan). The referenced connection must belong to the same company, be ``connected``, and its provider must support ingest (service-enforced).
