# Unlink Item

`DELETE /bank-entry-items/{link_id}`

Detach an **uploaded document** (invoice/receipt) from a bank movement.

Removes the document plane's link only — the movement, the document and any GL
booking stay. Use it when the movement was matched to the wrong document, or when its
coding is held and you want to hand-code the movement instead (``manual_code_entry``
refuses while a document match stands). ``link_id`` is the ``link_id`` of a row in
``get_bank_entry``'s ``links.items``. The match status is recomputed, so
the movement re-appears as unmatched and the matcher may offer it again.
