# Delete Failed Accounting Document

`DELETE /accounting-documents/{document_id}`

Remove a ``failed`` accounting document row (Lane N-ingest, F2845).

For a failure Retry cannot change (an unreadable or oversize file, expired bytes): the
person uploads a different file, and this takes the dead row off the Opening documents
card and out of the work list. 409 unless the document is ``failed``, and 409 if
anything already references it (a failed row normally owns nothing; this is the check,
not an assumption). 404 missing / 403 out of scope.

Accountant/owner (ZCT-257), like the retry beside it.
