# Get sub-account spending

`GET /v1/sub-accounts/{id}/balance`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.zavu.dev`
- URL: `https://api.zavu.dev/v1/sub-accounts/{id}/balance`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Get spending information for a sub-account. Returns the parent team's balance, the sub-account's total spending, and its credit limit (spending cap). Requires a parent project API key; sub-account API keys receive HTTP 403.

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

Sub-account balance.

- BalanceResponse
  - `balance` integer, required: Team balance in cents. All charges are billed to the parent team.
  - `currency` string, required
  - `creditLimit` integer, nullable: Spending cap in cents (only for sub-accounts).
  - `totalSpent` integer, nullable: Total amount spent by this sub-account in cents (only for sub-accounts).
  - `isSubAccount` boolean: Whether this API key belongs to a sub-account.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized.
- `403`: Forbidden. Sub-account API keys cannot manage sub-accounts.
- `404`: Not a sub-account of this team. The parent project's own id is not a sub-account and answers 404.
