# Delete a collection

`DELETE /v1/memory/collections/{collection}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.zavu.dev`
- URL: `https://api.zavu.dev/v1/memory/collections/{collection}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Delete the collection and every item it holds, **in every scope** — the per-contact and per-conversation copies included. Returns immediately; the purge drains in batches and writes are refused while `status` is `deleting`.
