# Delete Template Route

`DELETE /companies/{company_id}/templates/{template_id}`

## Request

Delete a template for good, with its renders (decision 201). The body must
repeat its exact name (400 ``deletion-refused``); a template an output feed, a
template rule or an experiment uses is 409 ``template-in-use``. The answer says
how many renders and files went with it.

- `template_id` string, uuid, required

- TemplateDeleteRequest: The template's exact name, typed to confirm deleting it.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- RenderDeleteOut: What a delete removed. ``files`` trails ``renders`` when a render never produced one (pending or failed) or its file is shared.
