# Update Email Settings

`PUT /v1/scouting/tasks/{scout_id}/email-settings`

## Request

- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Update email notification settings and manage subscribers for a scout.

## Path parameters

- `scout_id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- UpdateEmailSettingsRequest
  - `skip_email` boolean, nullable: If true, email notifications will be skipped and only webhook notifications will be sent. If false, both email and webhook notifications will be sent (default behavior).
  - `subscribers_to_add` string[], nullable: List of email addresses to subscribe to this scout. Maximum 200 per request. Duplicates are automatically ignored.
  - `subscribers_to_remove` string[], nullable: List of email addresses to unsubscribe from this scout. Non-creators can only remove themselves.

  - `scout_id` string, required: The ID of the scout
  - `skip_email` boolean, nullable: Current skip_email setting, if updated
  - `subscribers_added` SubscriberResult[], nullable: Results for each email address in subscribers_to_add
    - `email` string, required: The email address
    - `status` 'added' | 'removed' | 'already_subscribed' | 'not_found' | 'invalid' | 'permission_denied', required: Result status for this email operation
    - `message` string, nullable: Additional details about the result
  - `subscribers_removed` SubscriberResult[], nullable: Results for each email address in subscribers_to_remove
    - `email` string, required: The email address
    - `status` 'added' | 'removed' | 'already_subscribed' | 'not_found' | 'invalid' | 'permission_denied', required: Result status for this email operation
    - `message` string, nullable: Additional details about the result
  - `message` string, required: Summary of changes made
