# Create an Answer

`POST /v2/{account_id}/questions/{question_id}/answers`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://developers.yotpo.com`
- URL: `https://developers.yotpo.com/v2/{account_id}/questions/{question_id}/answers`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Yotpo-Token`

Posts the store's answer to a question by `question_id`. A question takes one answer from the store: if it already has one, the call returns `400` with `Answer already exist`.

## Path parameters

- `account_id` string, required
- `question_id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `content` string, required: The textual content of the answer to a question. No maximum length.
  - `public` boolean: True by default. Pass a value of `false` to make your answer visible solely to the reviewer who asked the question.

  - `status` object: Request status.
    - `code` integer: HTTP status code.
    - `message` string: Status message, such as `OK`.
  - `pagination` unknown
  - `answer` object: The new answer.
    - `id` string: The answer ID. Use it with [Delete an Answer](ref:delete-an-answer).
    - `content` string: The answer text.
    - `public` boolean: Whether the answer is public. `false` means only the asker can see it.
    - `answerer` object: Who wrote the answer.
      - `id` string: The answerer's user ID.
      - `display_name` string: The answerer's display name. Can be an empty string.
      - `social_image` string: URL of the answerer's profile image. Can be an empty string.
    - `votes_up` integer: Number of up votes.
    - `votes_down` integer: Number of down votes.

## Other responses

- `400`: The question already has the store's answer, or `content` is empty.
- `401`: Missing or invalid access token, or the token belongs to a different store.
- `404`: 404
