# Send a confirmation email

`POST /v1/appointments/{id}/send_email`

Requires the `appointments:write` scope.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Request body

- object
  - `email` string, email — Updates the lead's email if supplied.
  - `type` 'appointment_confirmation' | 'appointment_request' | 'appointment_approved' | 'appointment_rejected', required

## Response `200`

- `401` — Missing or invalid API key
- `402` — Monthly quota exceeded
- `403` — Insufficient scope, inactive subscription, or the clinic hasn't authorized API access
- `429` — Rate limit exceeded — see Retry-After header
- `502` — Upstream unavailable
