# Send SMS message

`POST /api/v1/message/sms`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://yespo.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://yespo.io/api/v1/message/sms`
- Auth: HTTP basic

The method is used for sending an SMS message to a contact. A new contact is created if no contact with such phone number exists.

## Request body

- OutgoingSMS
  - `from` string, required: Sender name. Enter one of the valid sender names
  - `text` string, required: Message text
  - `phoneNumbers` string[]: <b>Required parameter</b>, if &quot;groupId&quot; is not specified.
  - `tags` string[]: The list of tags to be assigned to a message.
  - `groupId` integer: <b>Required parameter</b>, if &quot;phoneNumbers&quot; is not specified. Segment ID to which the message will be sent
  - `externalRequestId` string: External request ID. It is the same for all the recipients.
  - `subscriptionsKeys` string[]
  - `trackUrls` boolean: The parameter determines whether to track links in a message or not. The default value is ‘false’.
