# Set a temporary autoscaling override for a service instance

`POST /service_autoscaler/{service}/{instance}/autoscaling_override`

## Path parameters

- `service` string, required
- `instance` string, required

## Response `202`

Successfully set autoscaling override

- object
  - `service` string — Service name
  - `instance` string — Instance name
  - `min_instances` integer, nullable — Minimum number of instances to run
  - `max_instances` integer, nullable — Maximum number of instances to run
  - `expire_after` number, float — Unix timestamp after which the override is no longer valid
  - `status` string — Status of the operation

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid request parameters
- `500` — Failed to set autoscaling override
- `501` — Autoscaling not supported for this instance type
