# Read the hiring manager decision

`GET /v1/applications/{application_id}/hiring_step_decision`

Read the hiring manager decision

**Required scopes:** `applications:read`

Where the hiring manager decision stands on the candidate's latest step that waits on the hiring manager: `advanced`, `held`, `waiting`, or `none` when no step on the plan waits on them. `can_decide` says whether the caller may record or change it.
