# Stream events

`GET /events/stream`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://xquik.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://xquik.com/api/v1/events/stream`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Streams the account's monitor events as server-sent events, each named by its event type and numbered by its event ID. A reconnect that sends Last-Event-ID first gets every event after that one from the last 30 days, then each new event. A connection lasts up to 30 minutes and sends a comment every 15 seconds while idle. Keep up to 5 streams open per account. Events and streams cost no credits.

## Response `200`

Server-sent events. Each event's data line holds 1 Event as JSON.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid input. A value past its maxLength gets this answer, & the message names the field & its limit.
- `401`: Unauthenticated
- `429`: The account has 5 streams open, or used Xquik's read limit. Close a stream, or wait `Retry-After` seconds.
