# POST /api/v1/support/tickets/{id}/messages

`POST /api/v1/support/tickets/{id}/messages`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://xquik.com`

Adds a message to an existing support ticket.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Headers

- `Idempotency-Key` string

## Request body

- SupportMessageSubmission: Support submission containing a message body.
  - `body` string, required: Non-empty support message text.

## Response `200`

Original message replayed after a safe retry

- SupportReceipt: Support submission receipt.
  - `publicId` string, required
  - `attachments` SupportAttachmentReceipt[], required
    - `publicId` string, required
    - `status` 'pending' | 'ready' | 'failed', required

## Other responses

- `201`: Message added
- `400`: Invalid input. A value past its maxLength gets this answer, & the message names the field & its limit.
- `401`: Unauthenticated
- `404`: Not found
- `409`: Reply key was reused with different message content.
- `429`: Too many requests right now. Each user gets 500 reads a second. Each minute allows 120 writes & 60 deletes. `x_api_rate_limited` means X limits this read for now. Neither answer costs anything. Wait for the seconds in `Retry-After`, then retry.
- `500`: Unexpected error.
- `default`: Unexpected error.
