# Save a tweet draft

`POST /api/v1/drafts`

Stores a private Xquik draft. It never publishes or creates native X drafts.

## Request body

- object

  - `topic` string
  - `goal` 'engagement' | 'followers' | 'authority' | 'conversation'

## Response `201`

Draft created

- DraftDetail — Private Xquik draft with optional topic and goal.
  - `id` string, required
  - `text` string, required
  - `topic` string
  - `goal` string
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required
  - `updatedAt` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid input
- `401` — Unauthenticated
- `429` — Xquik tier rate limit exceeded. The response includes a `Retry-After` header with the number of seconds to wait before retrying.
- `default` — Unexpected error.
