# Set linked X username

`PUT /api/v1/account/x-identity`

Links an X username to the authenticated Xquik account.

## Request body

- object
  - `username` string, required — X username without @

## Response `200`

X identity linked

- object
  - `success` true, required
  - `xUsername` string, required

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid input
- `401` — Unauthenticated
- `429` — Xquik tier rate limit exceeded. The response includes a `Retry-After` header with the number of seconds to wait before retrying.
- `default` — Unexpected error.
