# Create API key

`POST /api/v1/api-keys`

Creates a revocable API key and returns its secret once.

## Request body

  - `name` string

## Response `201`

API key created

  - `id` string, required
  - `fullKey` string, required
  - `name` string, required
  - `prefix` string, required
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `401` — Unauthenticated
- `403` — API key limit reached
- `429` — Xquik tier rate limit exceeded. The response includes a `Retry-After` header with the number of seconds to wait before retrying.
- `default` — Unexpected error.
