# Get Reddit post comments (live)

`GET /api/data/reddit/posts/{id}/comments/live`

## Request

Fetch the comment thread of a Reddit post on demand, flattened. Later pages expand "load more" batches and "continue this thread" branches; `rank` and `topLevelRank` continue across pages. A cursor expires shortly after the last page was fetched; restart from the first page if it does. Fetches directly from the platform and returns one page with a cursor. Not available for trial access keys.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation failed. Also returned when the post ID is invalid: `Invalid Reddit post ID. Must be the base-36 post ID without the t3_ prefix (e.g., "1wtde0i").`.
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: On-demand search is not available for trial access keys.
- `default`: The request could not be fulfilled. Status is 400 for an empty or invalid search query, 402 when CSV export is blocked by plan limits, 500 otherwise.
