# Upload a file to the APX MarketSuite

`POST /fileRegistry/file`

  - `uploadFileDescription` UploadFileDescription: UploadFileDescription
    - `location` string, required: Location associated with the file. Generally refers to the ISO or region
    - `participant` string, required: APX MarketSuite participant code
    - `intervalBegin` string, date-time: DateTime value of interval_begin that was specified when the file was uploaded or otherwise registered. This is not necessarily true for the content of the file.
    - `intervalEnd` string, date-time: Datetime value of interval_end that was specified when the file was uploaded or otherwise registered. This is not necessarily true for the content of the file
    - `fileType` string, required: APX MarketSuite File Type Name
    - `source` string, required: Data source system.
    - `rendition` string, required: Type of data in the file, such as DA or RT
  - `file` string, binary

## Response `200`

A files unique identifier (filehandle).

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid input parameters
- `401`: The user does not have authorization to perform this operation
- `500`: Internal server error
- `503`: Internal server error
