# Create stock movement type

`POST /api/v1/stockMovementTypes`

Creates a new stock movement type.

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required — Name of stock movement type
  - `direction` string, required — Direction of stock movement type
  - `active` boolean, required — Only active stock movement types can be used
  - `doctypeReference` string, nullable — Related document type

## Response `201`

Resource successfully created response

## Other responses

- `400` — IETF RFC 9457 Problem API compliant response
- `401` — Unable to authenticate the client
- `403` — Unable to authorize the client
- `415` — Resource representation send in the request is not supported.
- `429` — Too many API calls made.
