# Get the Ingest Region

`GET /2/region`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.x.com`
- URL: `https://api.x.com/2/region`
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `https://api.x.com/2/oauth2/authorize`
    - Token URL: `https://api.x.com/2/oauth2/token` scopes: `broadcast.read`
  - HTTP oauth

Returns the ingest region nearest the server handling the request. Pass it as `region` when creating a stream source to ingest there.

## Response `200`

The request has succeeded.

- GetRegionResponse
  - `region` 'us-east-1' | 'us-west-2', required: Ingest region. Pass it as `region` when creating a stream source.
