# Delete file

`DELETE /v1/files/{file_id}`

## Request

Permanently delete a file from the system. This action cannot be undone.

## Path parameters

- `file_id` string, required

## Response `200`

- DeleteFileResponse
  - `id` string, required: A unique identifier of the deleted file.
  - `deleted` boolean, required: Indicates whether the file was successfully deleted.
