# Create item

`POST /api/v1/external/shipments/{shipmentId}/items`

Add a new item to a package.

## Path parameters

- `shipmentId` string, required

  - `lineNumber` integer: Line number for ordering
  - `sku` string: Stock Keeping Unit
  - `partNumber` string: Part number

  - `quantity` integer: Quantity of items
  - `unitOfMeasure` string: Unit of measure for quantity
  - `unitPrice` number: Price per unit
  - `amount` number: Total amount
  - `currency` string: Currency code
  - `countryOfOrigin` string: Country of origin code
  - `hsCode` string: Harmonized System code
  - `weight` number: Weight per item
  - `weightUnit` string: Unit for weight measurement
