# SearchGdeltDocuments

`GET /api/intelligence/v1/search-gdelt-documents`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.worldmonitor.app`
- URL: `https://api.worldmonitor.app/api/intelligence/v1/search-gdelt-documents`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-WorldMonitor-Key`
  - API key in header `X-Api-Key`

SearchGdeltDocuments searches the GDELT GKG API for relevant documentation.

## Query parameters

- `query` string, required
- `max_records` integer
- `timespan` string
- `tone_filter` string
- `sort` string
- `jmespath` string

## Response `200`

OK

- WorldmonitorIntelligenceV1SearchGdeltDocumentsResponse: SearchGdeltDocumentsResponse contains GDELT article search results.
  - `articles` WorldmonitorIntelligenceV1GdeltArticle[]
    - `title` string: Article headline.
    - `url` string: Article URL.
    - `source` string: Source domain name.
    - `date` string: Publication date string.
    - `image` string: Article image URL.
    - `language` string: Article language code.
    - `tone` number, double: GDELT tone score (negative = negative tone, positive = positive tone).
  - `query` string: Echo of the search query.
  - `error` string: Error message if the search failed.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: API access requires an active subscription (the API key's subscription is inactive or expired).
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `503`: Service unavailable. Billing-verification responses include code and X-Billing-Verification; other gateway infrastructure failures use the generic GatewayError shape.
- `default`: Gateway or handler error response.
