# GetEnergyPrices

`GET /api/economic/v1/get-energy-prices`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.worldmonitor.app`
- URL: `https://api.worldmonitor.app/api/economic/v1/get-energy-prices`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-WorldMonitor-Key`
  - API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Retrieve current EIA energy commodity prices for selected commodities, with names, units, price changes and observation times for energy market monitoring.

## Response `200`

OK

- WorldmonitorEconomicV1GetEnergyPricesResponse: GetEnergyPricesResponse contains energy price data.
  - `prices` WorldmonitorEconomicV1EnergyPrice[]
    - `commodity` string, required: Energy commodity identifier.
    - `name` string: Human-readable name (e.g., "WTI Crude Oil", "Henry Hub Natural Gas").
    - `price` number, double: Current price in USD.
    - `unit` string: Unit of measurement (e.g., "$/barrel", "$/MMBtu").
    - `change` number, double: Percentage change from previous period.
    - `priceAt` integer: Warning: Values > 2^53 may lose precision in JavaScript

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: API access requires an active subscription (the API key's subscription is inactive or expired).
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `503`: Service unavailable. Billing-verification responses include code and X-Billing-Verification; other gateway infrastructure failures use the generic GatewayError shape.
- `default`: Gateway or handler error response.
