# Create a resource

`POST /v1/resources`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.workwing.io`
- URL: `https://api.workwing.io/v1/resources`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Create a field resource for an existing user. `user_id` is required; `display_name` is auto-populated from the linked user. Find the `user_id` with `GET /v1/members?has_resource=false`.

Requires an `Idempotency-Key` header.

    - `current_latitude` number, nullable: The resource's live position, for your own team only: do not show it to customers. For a customer-facing tracking page use GET /v1/jobs/{jobId}/tracking.
    - `current_longitude` number, nullable
    - `location_accuracy` number, nullable: Reported accuracy of the live position, in metres
    - `location_updated_at` string, date-time, nullable
    - `tags` string[], nullable: Resource tags/skills
    - `created_by_user_id` string, uuid, nullable
