# Remove a member (role: admin+). Follows the same ladder as a role change — only members strictly below the actor's own rank, owners excepted — and never yourself or the last owner.

- `403`: The role ladder does not permit removing this member
- `404`: No such member in this org
- `409`: The removal would leave the org with no owner
