# Stop a watch.

`DELETE /v1/sandboxes/{id}/files/watches/{watchId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.withruntime.com`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Does not wake a paused sandbox: it answers 409 sandbox_not_running, unless the watch was sending to webhooks, which stops at once. A timed watch ends by its own timeout; an indefinite watch resumes with the sandbox.

- `id` string, required: Resource identifier (UUID).
- `watchId` string, required: A watch's id.
