# Download a file's bytes, any size.

`GET /v1/sandboxes/{id}/files/content`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.withruntime.com`
- URL: `https://api.withruntime.com/v1/sandboxes/{id}/files/content`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Small files come in one read with an x-content-sha256 header. Large ones stream, read in parallel, checked against the file's digest at the end: a file that changes mid-read breaks the stream rather than arriving half old.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required: Resource identifier (UUID).

## Query parameters

- `path` string: Absolute path in the sandbox, e.g. /workspace/app/main.py. Any path the sandbox user may use.

## Response `200`
