# Delete a sandbox: stop it, delete its disk and paused memory, revoke its previews and ports, and remove it from lists.

`DELETE /v1/sandboxes/{id}`

## Request

Works in any state. Billing ends as a stop's does; a kept disk is billed until its host confirms the deletion, usually seconds. Its snapshots stay (delete them apart), and its usage, charges and audit entries stay. After it the sandbox reads nowhere: GET answers not_found. Deleting it again answers the same.
