# Retrieve a Device

`GET /devices/{device-id}`

Retrieves details of a specific Device.

This endpoint returns a Device object.

  - `data` Device, required
    - `id` string: Unique identifier for this Device. Starts with `dev_`.
    - `attributes` InquirySessionsIncludedObjectsItemsDiscriminatorMappingDeviceAttributes
      - `device-vendor-id` string, nullable
      - `device-fingerprint` string, nullable
      - `browser-fingerprint` string, nullable
  - `included` unknown[]: Excluded from the response by default. Will be an empty array when the `include` query parameter in the request was explicitly set to empty.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request was unacceptable, often due to invalid parameters.
- `401`: An invalid API key was provided.
- `403`: The given API key doesn’t have permissions to perform the request or a quota has been exceeded.
- `404`: The requested resource doesn’t exist.
- `429`: Your organization’s rate limit has been exceeded. We recommend an exponential backoff on requests.
- `503`: Something went wrong on Persona’s end. These are rare.
