# Cancel an unattached public booking

`POST /cohorts/{cohortId}/public-bookings/{bookingId}/cancel`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

MED-1389. Cancels the Calendly event, or deletes the Google Calendar
invite of a fallback booking, then marks the booking canceled. A
booking that is already canceled, here or in the vendor, answers 200.

- `cohortId` string, uuid, required
- `bookingId` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

The booking is canceled

## Other responses

- `403`: Not staff, or impersonating
- `404`: No unattached booking with this id in this cohort
- `409`: calendly_booking_not_reachable: the booking is on a Calendly account the coach no longer has connected; use remove. row_taken: the booking changed.
- `422`: Invalid id
- `502`: The vendor did not confirm the cancel; the booking stays
