# Update a group

`PUT /cohorts/{cohortId}/groups/{groupId}`

Updates a group's details

## Path parameters

- `cohortId` string, uuid, required
- `groupId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

  - `description` string
  - `maxSize` integer
  - `coachId` string, uuid
  - `isActive` boolean
  - `timeSlotIdentifier` string, nullable: Time slot identifier to assign (e.g. "ACME-TS1"), or null to unassign

## Response `200`

Group updated. When time slot is changed, response includes _timeSlotUpdate with sessionsUpdated and sessionsSkippedInvited counts (MED-648).

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid input, time slot identifier not found, or time slot locked (all future sessions have invitations sent)
- `404`: Cohort or group not found
- `409`: Group name already exists
