# Mark attendance for a cohort event

`POST /cohorts/{cohortId}/events/{eventId}/attendance`

## Request

Records attendance for every required person on the roster. Available once the event has started. Sets event status to COMPLETED (MED-1349).

    - `user_id` string, uuid
    - `invitation_id` string, uuid
    - `status` 'attended' | 'partial' | 'absent', required
    - `absent_reason` 'business_conflict' | 'personal_conflict' | 'no_notice'
    - `notes` string
  - `cleared_user_ids` string[]: Users whose saved status the CM cleared. Only these saved rows are removed; a person left out of attendance keeps the saved row.

## Response `200`

Attendance marked successfully

## Other responses

- `400`: Event has not started, a required person has no status, an attendee is not on the roster, or an absence has no reason
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Event not found
