# Schedule a group coaching check-in

`POST /api/participant/check-ins/schedule`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.production.yourmedley.com`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a new check-in session record and books it via Calendly. Unlike 1:1 scheduling, the session is created at booking time. Only one active (scheduled) check-in per participant per cohort is allowed.

## Request body

- object
  - `cohort_id` string, uuid, required: Cohort ID
  - `scheduled_start` string, date-time, required: ISO 8601 UTC datetime for the check-in start
  - `timezone` string, required: IANA timezone identifier (e.g., America/Denver)
  - `notes` string: Optional notes for the coach
  - `huddle_type` 'intro' | 'midpoint_checkin' | 'general': MED-699: Check-in type. Defaults to "general" (legacy behavior — creates a new session record). "intro" and "midpoint_checkin" update the pre-existing placeholder created by MED-697; the placeholder must be in status=unscheduled.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request — validation failed, active check-in exists (general), or no unscheduled placeholder found (intro/midpoint_checkin).
