# Update an absence email rule

`PATCH /absence-email-rules/{id}`

Updates an existing tier-based rule's parameters. Changes apply to future queue generation only.

Rule updated successfully

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid template_id/no_email combination
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Rule not found
- `409`: Duplicate rule exists
- `422`: Validation failed
