# Remove a library item

`DELETE /v1/library/{id}`

Removes an item from the library. This removes the library entry only — clips already using the underlying source keep working.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required — Library item ID

## Query parameters

- `scope` 'private' | 'workspace', required — Which library the item belongs to: `workspace` items are shared with everyone in the workspace, `private` items are only visible to their creator

## Response `200`

OK

- SuccessResponse — Standard success response for operations that don't return data
  - `status` 'ok', required — Operation status

## Other responses

- `400` — The request was malformed or contained invalid parameters.
- `401` — Authentication is required. Provide a valid API key.
- `403` — You don't have permission to access this resource.
- `404` — The requested resource was not found.
- `429` — You have exceeded the rate limit. Please slow down.
- `500` — An unexpected error occurred
- `501` — The requested operation is not implemented.
