# Add website knowledge

`POST /v2/api/numbers/{number}/agent/knowledge/websites`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.withallo.com`
- URL: `https://api.withallo.com/v2/api/numbers/{number}/agent/knowledge/websites`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Adds a website to the receptionist's knowledge. Allo crawls the site from this URL in the background and returns the entry right away; the receptionist can answer from it once indexing has finished. A crawl failure is not reported back. If another line of the team already added the URL, the existing website is linked to this line instead of crawled again.

  - `url` string, required: The URL of a publicly reachable site. A URL without a scheme is stored as https://.

The entry that was created

  - `data` AgentWebsiteKnowledge: A website of the team's knowledge library, crawled for the receptionist to answer from. The crawled text itself is not reported: it is what the receptionist reads, not something you configure.
    - `id` string
    - `url` string
    - `status` 'ACTIVE' | 'DISABLED': `ACTIVE` when this line's receptionist answers from the website, `DISABLED` when this line does not use it.
    - `created_at` string, date-time, nullable
    - `updated_at` string, date-time, nullable

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: API key lacks the required scope or access to the resource
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: Conflict with existing resource
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
