# Update person note

`PATCH /v2/api/crm/people/{person_id}/notes/{note_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.withallo.com`
- URL: `https://api.withallo.com/v2/api/crm/people/{person_id}/notes/{note_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Updates a person note's content. Only the note's author can edit it.

## Path parameters

- `person_id` string, required
- `note_id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `content` string, required: Note text (max 4000 characters). Mention teammates inline with `@[Name](usr-...)`, or `@[all](all)` to notify the whole team.

    - `content` string: Note text, with mentions inline as `@[Name](usr-...)`.
    - `user` NoteUser: Author of a note or comment.

    - `mentions` NoteMention[]
      - `user_id` string
      - `name` string, nullable
      - `deleted` boolean: `true` if the mentioned user has since been removed from the team.

    - `updated_at` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: API key lacks the required scope or access to the resource
- `404`: Resource not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
