# List Events

`GET /stats/events`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.wistia.com/modern`
- URL: `https://api.wistia.com/modern/stats/events`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Retrieve a list of events. Please note that due to our data retention policy,
only events from the last 2 years are available.


## Requires api token with one of the following permissions

Tokens with the "Act with a team member's permissions" permission
(`all:delegate_to_contact_permissions` scope) can also be used. Requests
made with such a token are authorized using the permissions of the
contact assigned to the token.

An [expiring access token](https://docs.wistia.com/reference/post_expiring-token)
created with the `all:delegate_to_contact_permissions` scope and an
`account` authorization granting the `view-stats` permission can also
be used.

## Response `200`

Successful response with a list of events.

  - `received_at` string, date-time: Date and time when the event occurred.
  - `event_key` string: Unique identifier for the event.
  - `visitor_key` string: Identifier for the visitor.
  - `embed_url` string: URL of the page where the video was viewed.
  - `percent_viewed` number, float: Decimal number denoting how much of the video was watched.
  - `ip` string: IP address of the viewer.
  - `org` string: Organization associated with the IP address.
  - `country` string: Country based on IP.
  - `region` string: Region based on IP.
  - `city` string: City based on IP.
  - `lat` number, float: Latitude based on IP.
  - `lon` number, float: Longitude based on IP.
  - `email` string, nullable: Email of the viewer (if available).
  - `media_id` string: Identifier for the video that was watched.
  - `media_name` string: Name of the video.
  - `media_url` string: URL of the video in Wistia.
  - `iframe_heatmap_url` string: URL for the heatmap of the event.
  - `thumbnail` object
    - `url` string
    - `width` integer
    - `height` integer
    - `fileSize` integer
    - `contentType` string
    - `type` string
  - `conversion_type` union: Type of conversion.

  - `conversion_data` object: Additional data related to the conversion.

  - `user_agent_details` object: Details about the user agent of the viewer.
    - `browser` string
    - `browser_version` string

    - `mobile` boolean
  - `attributes` object: Raw event attributes returned by the underlying analytics store. The keys mirror the top-level event fields.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized, invalid or missing token
- `403`: Forbidden, token is valid but account does not have access to feature
- `422`: Unprocessable entity, the request parameters were invalid.
- `500`: Internal server error
