# Issue virtual card (v2)

`POST /api/v2/cards/virtual`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api-business.wirexapp.com`
- URL: `https://api-business.wirexapp.com/api/v2/cards/virtual`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Issues a virtual card for the specified user using delivery ID for payment processing

## Request body `*/*`

- RequestCardIssueVirtualV2Request
  - `card_name` string: Friendly name for the card that would be displayed to the user
  - `delivery_id` integer: Delivery ID returned from the fees invoice endpoint (POST /api/v1/cards/:type/fees/:country/payment) (required when fees are enforced)
  - `employee_id` string: Employee id that should be associated with the card
  - `name_on_card` string: Name that should be printed on the card

## Response `200`

OK

- ResponseCardIssueResponse
  - `id` string, required: Identifier of the card that was issued

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `500`: Internal Server Error
