# Event: email.bounced (rolling out)

`POST email.bounced` (webhook)

(rolling out) Sent when an outbound message hard-bounces.

## Payload

- object: The envelope every webhook delivery POSTs to your endpoint. Per-event `data` shapes are documented in the top-level `webhooks` section. Delivery notes: deliveries are at-least-once (dedupe on `id`), may arrive out of order (use `created`), and must be acknowledged with a 2xx response within 10 seconds. Verify authenticity via the `X-Winnr-Signature` header before trusting the payload.
  - `id` string: Event ID (`evt_...`). Stable across retries — use it as an idempotency key.
  - `object` 'event'
  - `type` 'email.bounced': Event type (e.g. `message.relayed`, `test.ping`)
  - `api_version` string: Payload schema version
  - `created` string, date-time: When the event occurred (use this, not arrival order)
  - `account_id` string: The account the event belongs to
  - `data` object: Event-specific payload
    - `recipient` string
    - `sender` string
    - `sending_domain` string
    - `bounce_type` string: Bounce classification (e.g. hard, soft)
    - `diagnostic` string: Remote server's diagnostic text
    - `bounced_at` string, date-time

## Acknowledgement `200`

Return any 2xx status within 10 seconds to acknowledge the event.
