# Cancel Imagery Request

`DELETE /wine_labels/{request_id}`

Cancel an owned imagery request that has never been delivered or charged.

## Path parameters

- `request_id` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `user_id` string, uuid

## Response `200`

Response highlights:
- `request.status`: `cancelled`.
- `credits`: unchanged credit balance.

Notes:
- Use `request.can_cancel` to show cancellation controls. Returns 409 if delivery or charging won the race, and 404 for missing or other-account requests.
- Repeated cancellation is idempotent. Cancelled requests leave the active list and never retry. Their idempotency keys remain reserved.
- Example: DELETE /wine_labels/00000000-0000-4000-8000-000000000001?user_id=YOUR_ACCOUNT_UUID. Use your own request and account identifiers.
- Cancellation does not refund a delivered image. If the API returns 409, refresh the request before updating your UI; delivery may have completed first.
- Cancellation remains available for existing requests after imagery access expires.
- Existing wine_label.failed webhook envelopes may carry request.status cancelled or awaiting_credits; inspect the request status.
