# Search entities by name

`GET /entities/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.whoisgeni.us` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Search entities by name with relevance ranking.

Returns entities matching the query ranked by relevance (exact > prefix
> substring), with associated domains and per-domain attribution
confidence from entity signals.

Query is normalized using the same function used to store entity names,
so searches like "Google LLC" and "google" both match the same entities.

When ``include_portfolio`` is true, top 5 results are enriched with a
``portfolio_count`` field from Reverse WHOIS preview mode (free, adds
1-3 seconds latency per entity).

Requires API key authentication via X-API-Key header.
