# Stop Streaming

`POST /telephony/{session_id}/stop-streaming`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://dev.whispa.net` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Stop an active streaming handler WITHOUT finalizing the call.

Releases STT provider resources (websockets) when a streaming session is
abandoned before the call is ended/finalized. The training flow uses this
when its ElevenLabs connection fails, drops abnormally, or reports an
output format we can't transcribe: the backend handler was already created
by start-streaming, but no audio will flow and end-call may never run, so
the handler would otherwise linger. The CallSession is left untouched — a
later end-call still finalizes normally (and is a no-op for the stream).
