# Delete a link type (bookings keep their snapshot; its team handle is freed)

`DELETE /api/event-types/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://whenmeet.me`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `__Host-session`

Without force=1, a link with upcoming confirmed bookings is refused (409 has_future_bookings with count) so the owner can confirm. After a delete its bookings stay on the calendars and can still be cancelled; reschedule answers 409 link_unavailable.

- `401`: unauthenticated (no session or token), or invalid_token (a Bearer token that is malformed, unknown or revoked — never a silent anonymous fallback).
- `404`: not_found.
- `409`: { error: "has_future_bookings", count } — upcoming confirmed bookings on this link; repeat with ?force=1.
