# CORS preflight for creating a lookup

`OPTIONS /lookups`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://whenisbins.com/v1`
- URL: `https://whenisbins.com/v1/lookups`
- Auth: none required

Answers the browser's preflight for `POST /lookups`. The
allow-origin headers are returned only for an approved WhenIsBins
origin; the response is 204 either way, and the absent headers are
what stop a disallowed origin. Server-to-server callers send no
`Origin` and never need this.

Preflight answered. No body.

## Other responses

- `503`: Required service configuration, a dependency, or shared lookup admission is temporarily unavailable (`service_unavailable`).
